Clear Solar Corporation – Graduate Software Engineering Intern (Embedded & Web)

Location: Remote (U.S. required)
Position Type: Internship (Graduate Level)
Duration: Spring–Summer 2026
Target End Date: August 2026

About Clear Solar

Clear Solar Corporation is commercializing NASA‑licensed electrodynamic dust shield (EDS) technology that removes dust from solar panels without water or mechanical cleaning. Our ClearAdvantage system integrates transparent electrodes with distributed electronic controllers that generate electrostatic traveling waves to remove dust from solar surfaces.

We are currently building prototype systems for pilot deployments and are looking for a graduate‑level software engineering intern to help develop embedded firmware and a web‑based monitoring interface.

Role Overview

The Software Engineering Intern will support development of the ClearAdvantage control system software stack. This includes embedded firmware development for distributed controllers as well as assisting with development of a simple web interface used to monitor system data and control cleaning cycles.
The intern will work directly with Clear Solar’s engineering leadership and external engineers developing the ClearAdvantage system. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student interested in embedded systems, IoT platforms, renewable energy technology, and robotics‑adjacent systems.
